YOODOO Press Release: 15/11/2010

Cats Group, the leading Swindon-based managed service digital print provider has today announced the acquisition of Yoodoo Ltd, a pioneer in the personalised greetings cards market.

Yoodoo, which has already achieved a significant share of this fast growing marketplace, is now poised for dynamic growth as the highly successful Cats Group prepares to launch an exciting range of new products and personalised gifts through an expanded and diversified new Yoodoo website.

Commenting on the acquisition, Cats Group Managing Director, Greg Smith said:

“ as Cats has extended its product range over the past few years we have been looking for added value products and services which allow us to develop a retail presence and utilise our massive production engine to deliver to individual, retail customers. The acquisition of Yoodoo, which has already proved itself as a successful player in the personalised greeting card market allows us to extend our offering and expand on a number of unique ideas to differentiate the Cats/Yoodoo proposition from the others. Watch this space!”

Yoodoo Ltd, founded in 2004, has an existing portfolio of over 4000 card designs created by a pool of over 70 designers, and it is Smith’s intention to add significantly to the breadth of designs and products available. New personalised gifts and promotional items will be added in time for the key peak periods of the year, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

Bill Joss, Cats Group Chairman added:

“we do not believe that buying the cheapest card available over the internet is the preferred experience for most customers; we know they want to feel that they are choosing a quality item, designed and personalised with care to show that they have thought about the whole process of sending a greeting to a loved one, family member or friend.

Do you, as someone receiving a personalised card, really want to receive a 99p card which may be one of 10,000 free, promotional give-aways this Christmas……?”
